Bringing people together
The Coastal Restoration Trust of New Zealand holds an annual conference to bring together the knowledge and experience and up to date research of coastal restoration.
Conferences are hosted by local and/or regional councils, iwi, Department of Conservation and Coast Care communities. We provide opportunities for local groups to benefit from the conference - and there is also plenty of opportunity for local businesses and organisations from around the country to sponsor the event and be involved.
The conference format includes presentations, practical workshops (pest plant control, growing coastal plants, raranga) field trips on the Ūawa and plenty of time for discussion.
Attendees include research scientists, staff from councils and the Department of Conservation, iwi/ hapū representatives, local businesses, Coast Care group members, students and individuals from around the country with a passion for our coastal environment
