Ūawa Tolaga Bay is most well known for its natural beauty and bay but it also boasts a few other attractions.
Take a swing at Ūawa Tolaga Bay Golf Club and walk the green. Shop at Tolaga Bay Cashmere before stopping for a cup of coffee at J & A’s cafe.

Do make sure to also appreciate the natural environment by walking Cooks Cove Walkway - a two hour 30 minute easy walking track accessible for most fitness levels.
Anaura Bay walkway is another attraction nearby but please note that it is only partially open due to storm damage.

Please note that all of the above are within the limits of Gisborne city. Gisborne is around 45 minutes to 1 hour away from where the conference will be held in Ūawa Tolaga Bay.

Join a Guided tour at Mount Hikurangi
Visit St Mary’s Church, which was built in 1924 in memory of the soldiers from the local iwi, Ngati Porou, who died in the First World War. This beautiful Māori church is at Tikitiki, a small town in the Waiapu Valley.
East Cape Lighthouse at Lottin Point is normally a must see for visitors to the region but please note that it is temporarily closed.
